The beach is a short walk as are a number of shops. The small shops sell all the basics you need. They are convenient and are open all day every day. The nearest chemist is roughly 500mtrs and there is a local doctor in case of emergency.
The beach all though a short walk is very shingly and windy. Ideal for wind surfing not good for snorkelling. This is an ideal spot to explore the island from, the car hire is cheap but the bus service is a bit erratic.
